Diagnose my 87' 325is problem :)

Have a small problem with my ride.

When the car isn't moving and i'm idling for long periods of time, say in a traffic jam or something like that my car (when I begin to accelerate) will sputter (sounds like its farting) and it lack performance big time. The sound and lack of pickup will occure all through the RPM range. On inspection of the temp gauge, all looks nominal. Then when I drive at a normal speed for aprox 30-40 seconds, everything clears up and the cars runs fine again.

Any ideas?

I seen it before!

Dude, thats a tuffy cause it could be so many things.

Some things to look at are yer air/fuel mixture adjustable at the airflow meter or even that, the airflow meter. also maybe the TPS(throttle Position Sensor). More than likely thats a fuel problem.

Hopefully that could help, but, again like i said, it may not be easy to solve! good luck.
