Cool How much would a differential swap be!?

Just need some info on this for all you BMW GURUS.. =)
I dont want to get ripped off by shops.. one guy told me it costs 800! lols
same differential.. just swapping it in and out.. what is a good price for it!?
Anybody recommend a shop? thanks guys cheers

Why not call a few of the sponsers for quotes. Was this a quote that was done in person, new seals and mounting bushings, maybe a few other things. Does this include the cost of the diff?

yeah i was like 800!???.. that must come with a foot massage or something.. lolsss its a shop in scarborough.. they said since its a bmw it is expensive labour.. a friend of mine recomended them.. and after that quote.. NEVER AGAIN i will go back there..
They said its the swap only no parts no oil no nothing just labour job is 800!
Im not goin to say they ripp people off.. maybe its just there price..

thanks for the info guys so next time when i call shops for quotes i'l have an idea how much it would be.. cheers.
I would do driveway with a mechanic.. but my driveway is filled with dried oil.. from oil changes.. coolant residue.. lols and its beginning to sink in since i always jack up my car on it.. xD im gonna let it rest till i do some more maintenance work lol
