yeah but it will go on forever! Have you decided on what you're going to do? My 318iS engine runs great, so I can't justify the cost of an engine swap, but sometimes I wish it would die so I could have some fun ...

im thinking of just building the internals up on the stock 325i to run some boost?
seems like a good way to go? dont have the technical skills for some of those one off swaps.
ive been working on civics for years and swapping in an engine is fairly simple.
use te same mounts same harness and it drops in the same place.
does BMW offer any such swaps that just "drop in"?

I hear the eta engines are good bases for turbos, but I've never looked into it myself.

Stock internals are plenty sturdy for 300+ (well tuned) WHP with either an e or i motor. I'd boost the motor you have as is, but consider upgrading the headbolts depending on your power goals.

I'd argue the easiest swaps are M50 swaps from E36's, but some argue the value of the swap.
The M30 swap isn't "super" easy, but it's far from rocket science, and mounting kits are available. Tq is nice, and they LOVE boost.
