E30 trunk key hole drilled.. what now?

Hypothetically speaking, say you drilled a hole through the lock to pop it open. What do you do now? Where does one get a lock for my unique key?

you'll need to change the lock cylinder and I don't believe this is available anymore as a rebuild from bmw. I do believe the repair kit is still available. it's in around 70+ give or take from the dealership. Otherwise get a used trunk lock and deal with having a separate key to open it. I can probably get it to open if it is seized shut. you'll need to swing by my place- hypothetically speaking. LOL..

pm me.

I think I've had 18 bmw's in 6 years.

i've got an extra trunk lock and a key or two to go with it if you don't mind having a second key. if you ever had valet parking your stuff would definitely feel safer, haha.

pm if you're intersted
