wow... I feel old now lol..

yea 300 > 2400 > 9600 and then I made the big jump.. a USR 33.6... I remember paying $290+ tax for that thing... Then again I also paid almost $400 for 4 MB of ram bahahahaha...

I remember when i was like 10 my dad took me to his office at u of t. The first time i saw something download at 10 MB/S i didn't know what to do with myself. I was like:
"Dad, with an internet connection this fast, why wouldn't you just download everything?"

He didn't answer me. So i started buying external drives.

Yeah, it was called a Sportster or something like that, wasn't it? I paid somethign like that for the external one. Big bucks back then.

I'm still running 2 USRobotics 33.6 Sportster modems at my office and recently bought 3 more. (but these were 56k) Not for internet, a multi-line fax server.

Unsurpassed reliability. $100 a pop now. (the v.92 56k model that is)
