M1 Racecar m88 rebuild video.

540hp NA 3.5 litre. Nice. The turbo versions were getting almost 900hp.

They did a good job restoring that car! A bit optimistic on the horsepower numbers though I think unless they raised the compression a lot over stock.

Puzzles me why they run it without load up through the gears on the dyno, because I know for a fact that is not how fast that car goes through the gears...

Some people like to do simulated pulls to check their tune...

but you're right an inertia dyno like that doesn't load the car the same way the road would. They're only good for one pull down low.

Could be a close ratio, if the turbo cars were getting over 800hp, i'm sure the power figure is about right. Which makes that one bad-ass N/A I6. 9000rpm... damn.
