Center console Slide disassembly

Can some1 pls help me. BMW X5 2005 My center console slider (the top lid that opens and slides) is clicking and sometimes has to be forced to close properly, it sounds like some spring got disconnected. i have been trying to disasseble it for 2 hours couldnt do it. The spring visible through the crack of the slider on drivers side is just rolling about inside, so thats probably why its making weird clicking noise, i want to disassemble the lid, theres no screws visible at all, the hex screw does nothing when taking out. Please Help.

This link will give you a breakdown of the centre console assembly.

The second pic should give you the info you need. To remove the console in an e46 there are screws that have to be removed from rear of console under ashtray. Something similar for the X5?
