My brother works for Hyundai head office. More Tercel's with the sport / graphics package (includes side stickers and a rear wing) are sold in Quebec than the rest of the world combined. In the last couple years, they've had a special design team examining the market in order to best exploit this for sales. There is obviously a culture there that's different than what we're used to.
"Distinct status" applies to auto styling too then.
