You can reuse your trans, clutch etc so it cheaper that way..Dudes are running almost 2x the power output of an m52 in boosted e30s and they can take it. OBD1 swapshizzle won't cost you that much more but if you just want OBD1 out of the box just drop in a nice m50TU and call it a day.

- Repair, prep and paint new front spoiler, rear spoiler and side skirts (sorry poor BB pics)...
- Engine Mounts
- Front CV joints. RE + RE boots... (all 4)
- DISA + Intake boots repair
- Blower Motor + Valve Cover Gasket

plus a bunch of smaller stuff..... and we're still in Feb!!! Middle pic of spolier is painted, 1 coat; no clearcoat..... 5 more cans arriving next week to complete job..... enough to refinish front bumper too..... can't wait for Friday meets and spring to see the reaction......

m52 soundsssss like th ebetter deal.

i gotta research some obD 1 stuff for that motor.
but my m20 drive train is NOT going anywhere...lol

im just worried about emissions if i put obd1 m52 !!!

buuuut money and m50TU aleady being obd1 is quite the cock tease. so i just may end up that route.

.3L of displacement is frigging sounding lovely!!! if i grow the balls to obd1 then i suppose i will consider it over m50tu

Lol you shoudn't have to worry about emissions, my old m50 swapped car passed as a m20 325i and was wayyyyyyyy below the limits, and id expect a m52 to do the same.
