Billsteins, Sport Vs HD

hello all,

looking to get a set of billsteins for my '90ix but was wondering which ones I should go with.

Does anyone know the difference between the sports and HDs?
What are the pros and cons?

thanks

Rene

Exact same valving, the HDs are just longer. HDs are used with stock springs, Sports with anything lower.

Both will make the ride quite a bit harsher than stock.

alright, sweet, thanks for the info you guys!

I might be interested in the konis if they are compatible with the H&R springs I have here, anyone know for sure?

Where would be a good place to buy Konis?

actually tirerack has them on for a hell of a price right now. 158USD each for fronts and 96 for rears. Just slightly more than Billies. and they're adjustable. lots of guys on e30tech run them. I can't afford them but i'd get them if i could.

and you can use any IX shock with those springs, fear not.

Thanks for the link Rob, those konis sound awesome, but not really in my budget right now either, by the time they get to my door it will be like $700, I think if I can find a decent used set of Billstein HDs for the time being and maybe get the konis when I have a bit more $ to play with.

ya, still pretty steep, but really the best option before going over 1k. Used Billies pop up once in a while. I'm looking for a set too, so watch out

Actually I was kinda hoping you had a used set you wanted to sell, but I guess we're in the same situation.

I think $250 - $300 Canadian would be a fair price depending on age and condition, as far as performance variance, I'm not to sure, but someone on here will probably know.
