Brodeur should be the 2nd star after Miller. 3 assists! The second goal he knocked the puck right to the american who scored on him. Third goal was a loose puck that Pronger was going to get and Brodeur poked it away from him to an American who passed it for the goal. Fourth one was going to hit his pads and he deflected it between his legs with the stick.

After the third goal I felt like the Canadians should slap him for every time he tried to do a poke check.

The sad thing is that other than the astronomical **** ups with puck handling, he played AMAZING. The Americans played absolutely stunning D. The Canadians didn't get a single clear break. Whenever they tried to get in outnumbering the defense, someone would rocket back and tie up the shooter, forcing some goofy back hand shot from the boards. But Brodeur stoned several shooters 1-1. So yeah Miller stopped a lot of shots but very few of them had any quality.

I actually agree with Brodeur - it sounds bad but they need the extra game. They need more time to relax and gel. Too bad they didn't try as hard as they did in the last 120 seconds, the whole game.

Anyone who watched the game realized it was purly a goalie's game (reference to the announcer saying "Miller's Show). One goalie let everything in while the other stopped everything.

Canada was not playing together, also they were playing w/o soul. I don't know about everyone else but they all seemed like they hated eachother, like they did not wanna play together.

Canada IMO played good offence but Miller was making it hard for them to score. They were aggressive by always having the puck on the other side. Their problem was not being able to capatalize on their opportunities (like how America was taking advantage of their PP's, Canada was only getting like 1 or 2 shots on their PP's).

I don't know wtf was up with Broduer, if Canada had a better goalie they would've won because they were playing pretty good defense...but Broduer would just let everything in (also making really stupied decisions).

Canada was having amazing puck-handling some periods of the game, but than slowed down sometimes. When they were moving it fast they were able to keep the Americans under pressure and were able to get some good shots (but again Miller stopped em).

+1 The only pressure on the Americans were in the last few mins. If Canada had put out half as much pressure in the rest of the game they would have won.

I am hoping that they will use this as a humbling experience it should be, just because they are Team Canada does not mean they get given the gold, they still have to earn it, and sometimes it seems like players forget this. Realisticly this is the best time to lose a game, only prelims we can still get gold.

I'm glad the yanks beat us, these fancy ****ing pussies looked no better than the crappy Leafs, instead of making it simple and putting shots up on Miller and crowding the crease, they were all trying to walk into the net with a puck...

And Brodeur never should have started that game, he sucked against the Swiss too...guess the Olympics money can't compare to NHL cash waste after all, eh

We won't even get a medal this time....

Hopefully they pick their game up tomorrow night.

On a more positive note, the women's team has been flat out tearing shit up! Hope they get the gold on Thursday...that's gonna be an intense game against the U.S.

You can't say Brodeur let EVERYTHING in, that's pretty unfair. Brodeur had too many giveaways yes, but he also made a lot of stellar saves.
