BMW Noob!

Guess you can call this my intro thread. I've been in the market for a daily driver that's reliable, cheap on gas, etc etc. However, I didn't want to go out and just buy a Honda Civic so I looked around for something a little more rewarding to drive. Came across a 1995 BMW 318is sedan in somewhat decent shape, picked it up for a steal (in my books). Aside from the BMW, I have 2 Mazda RX-7s (1986-1991). This would be my first European car, and I'm not exactly knowledgeable with the E36s or BMWs in general. Hoping to find some good tech info, and be an active member here.

A little background info. I was a mechanic up until late fall last year where finding a job was pretty difficult for me so I looked at other career options. Now I'm aspiring to become a Police Constable, currently studying/training at the Canadian Law Enforcement Training College in Toronto. I have some track experience but have been missing out for a while, hopefully I'll get my RX-7 back together for this year!

I'll start off my questions as follows:

I'm looking for an external trim piece that encases the front grill and where the headlights mount above, looks to be 1 piece. Also looking for front door panels for both sides. No urgent need, as I've no idea how much these things go for. However, I'd be interested in replacing mine.

Are there any issues with this generation of BMWs I should be aware of, maybe specific to year/model (1995 318 sedan)? How reliable are these cars generally?

My ABS and an icon of the steering wheel (assuming the airbag) lights are on, is this common? What DIY remedies should I look into?
Anyway, here are some pics

Some pics of the BMW
BMW 318:
286,000kms
Pearl Black (repainted) on Black/Grey Cloth Interior
5-speed
Replaced starter, alternator, spark plugs, exhaust
Bought it with some sort of bodykit (very subtle though)

Ahaha, yeah they bother me too. I'll look into replacing the spoiler with something a little more lowkey in the future aha.

I'm noticing the SRS and ABS light on/off randomly. Does anyone know what the issue may be? Also, how would you go about resetting the oil change meter?

I'm done with RX-7's for now lol, Just going to get my main one back together for the track and that'll be it (atleast for a while). As for the bimmer, the spoiler actually doesn't look too ricey in person, but i'd love to replace it with the oem one or maybe just a deck spoiler lol. As for the clear corners, i don't mind them either, just the fog lights bother me if anything and the grill/panel that needs to be replaced or straightened out lol.

This might sound stupid, but do BMWs come with short gear transmissions or is my car just messed up? Going 100-120kph, I'm in the 3000-3500rpm... Is it supposed to be THAT high? I'm also not entirely satisfied with the gas mileage I'm getting (where I'm not hitting the "650-700+" per tank). Might just be because the engine has some mileage on it, but spark plugs were changed, oile/filter was recently changed. Someone care to shed some light?

i have a 325i. at 100-120kph its around 3000-3200rpm. if you have a smaller engine like in a 318, then it will probably could be up to 3500.
