when my gf and another buddy quit each had their own methods. thing is she quit for me ( i told her not to, i didnt want to have tht added concern of her keeping promise also dealing wiht broken promise) i also made a point she had to quit for her, no one else, not me or her parents or anyone, otherwise shell fall back in when were not around.

she cut back, drastically, but not quite cold turkey, had her bad moments but kept it together pretty good. she cut down to a few a day to one a day to a couple a week then went cold turkey
she said it was 3 days 7 days a month and then at 3 months thats it. nothing more. hopfeully all goes well for you man

If you really want to quit i highly recomment you attend an Allen Carr -Easy WayTo Stop Smoking meeting.
I have the book in pdf if you want it but you need to read it at one go and its best to attend the meeting. Takes up to 6 hours to read it. You can smoke while reading and i am 99% sure you will quit if you read it.
Just send me a message with an email you want me to send it to and i will.
Just make sure you read the whole thing at one go and not part of it per day.
9 out of ten that i know who tried it swear by it and quit smoking instantly!

I quit smoking last year when I got my 335... I couldn't bear the thought of my new car stinking like an ashtray.

So, my solution, buy an E9X. Not only will you feel bad about smoking in it, but you won't be able to afford cigarettes. WIN.

Just start working out and play something you like in a competitive league,, you won't want to touch a cigarette ever again! Also I've found that the best time to quit is when you get sick.
