Help: X5 18" staggered wheels on E39 ?

I am looking at buying X5 Rims and tires on put on my E39.
So far from the research I found that rims should fit E39, Suggestion are welcomed. I am not sure if the front tires would fit or not, Pls help.

Fronts: 235/50/18
Rears: 255/45/18

I have a 2002 525i. Hoping for someone to reply back soon.

Thanks
Jay

I tryed to put X5 18x8.5 on an E39, and it was no way near to fitting, unless you want to use a 2" spacer! The offset is way off.

^^ x2 I was looking at a set a while ago and saw that you'd have to run major spacers in order for them to work. It's still possible but I think the offset was north of +40 or somewhere around there.

So in short they'll work but like Eurostyle said. Major spacers needed

I'm sure you can find some other nice 18's to fit your car instead of trying to make these work. And also the tire sizes don't match a 5er, they are SUV's sizes ,which means you need a new set of tires ,and that's more $$$$ involved

Well, I saw them yeaterday, Very good for asking price.. I think they are reps and not original M Parallel from BMW..
Centre was a bit small to fit on my E30 hub and even if it fit front tires was too big..
Well, I will continue looking.. If you know anyone that has a set of M parallel Staggered in chrome, Pls let me know I will be interested.

Thank You all for all you help on this topic.. Now we know for sure X5 Wheels are not direct fit to 5 series.

Thanks for this info! I was planning to try these wheels on my M5, Now I don't have to bother with the trouble.
