I bought a 50" plasma 3 years ago for $1700. That's just now become the normal price of them.

You're wrong - plain and simple. There are deals to be had, without major hassle.

For those who are actually posting relevant info: last year I had to wait over 20 minutes in the "virtual" line at FS, this year less than 1 minute. A testament to the crappy deals this year.

difference in opinion does not right one make. In your opinion its not much hassle. this is all based on opinions. so no im not wrong. no one is wrong or right.

I also recall saying that there are some deals, but the really good ones are usualy in limited supply and sell out quick. I think thats a fact though, not really an opinion.

There are definitely better deals to be had during the year, then on BD. And I agree that some items actually drop in price a couple of months after BD. Last year I got the FS 37" Sharp Aquos door crasher for $799. Thought it was a great price at the time. Literally two months later, that was the regular price of the TV. Now fast forward to today, and you can't even find 37" LCD's anymore. Most of the 40" 60hz TV's are selling for less than $700. 120hz, 240hz, and LED are a different ball game. I'm sure those will take a couple of years to come down in price. But then something newer will be out. That's the way the cycle goes. But definitely not getting sucked into BD anymore.

i bought a 40 inch toshiba regza 120 hz 1080p. nice tv me thnks, but only just ofund out that Best buy had the sharp 1080 p 120 hz for the same ****ing price ... for 800$
and also bought an Acer 23 inch 1080p for 170$.
and a 1.5 tb WD external for 135$. but it has E sata, so thats why i bought it.

I think the ACER was the better deal of all 3. it was the last one left at best buy too so that made me happy.

OKAY SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME:

on the 40 inch toshiba I payed 10$ EHF fee.
on the 23 inche ACER I payed 12$ EHF fee.

Why is the computer monitor that is smaller have a higher enviroment fee then a ****ing TV??????

I’ve been wanting to get one for a while now and I’ve never seen the price this low so I finally gave in.

The really stupid part was that the sale was only online and not in store, after spending about an hour arguing with the employees and the store manager I got them to price match it for me 

I’m happy with it.

I believe it has to due with the frequency in which people will change the items. The Computer monitors will cost more as they hit the landfills more often.
