Don't know much about them but I'm pretty sure most of them are just exact copies of the big brands.

let me know if you buy one, is there anyway to test which is better? also isn't the drop in chip only for older model e36s?

most are just direct copies of big brands, if your ok with it then theres a few big threads on here and on bf.c about them. give them a read. most ppl say good things, major arguements against them stand on the fact they are pirated software stolen from reputable brands, buying the actual brand supports the company researching.
anywho, a little of what ive read, best to read up yourself and see what people are saying.
cheers

find one that people have reviewed fully and rate to be of good caliber and try it out, worst case its 40 bucks and you put your old chip back in.
looking at your car though, are you OBD I or OBD II?
that makes the difference between chip or software. you also need to know your build date when purchasing a chip.
