If you have a 97/98 E39 540i and a rough idle ...
I just did this ICV Cleaning, and it is so much better. It was very easy to do, and took maybe 15 minutes.

Previous symptoms: wouldn't idle well at all after sitting for 15 minutes, stalled really easily, sometimes just sputtered then died.

That was gratifying!
