E39 540i brakes vs M5 brakes

Hey guys, just wondering if there is a difference in the brake setup on a 540i and an M5 (E39). I see people doing the swap on 528's and 530's but can't find anything on the 540. I assume there must be a difference. Anyone have the specs (front and rear), and opinion if this swap is even worth it.

to anyone contemplating M5 brakes...to house these larger brakes...(except for the BMW 17" Style 66) you will need to move up to 18" rims (Incl. winters).

Also gotta change the bearings from what i read.
