M3 steering wheel in a E30?

is it possible...i wanted to change the steering wheels and i really like the new M3 ones, especially with the coloured stitching, but is it possible to put other BMW steerring wheels on older BMW's?

i just found out that the M3 steering wheels, like many other models, have the buttons on them, im pretty sure the buttons wont be able to be hooked up in my car so maybe a steering wheel like this would be good....
