The owner/driver is a very good friend of mine that I've known for a long time. We spent some time on the phone after the incident....... BEFORE he went back to see the carnage. We talked a bit about what happened and there were some lessons taken away. But it was so tough to go back and see everything he worked so hard on BBQ'ed. The hours he spent on that car were huge. It was a part of him and who he is.

But for the record, it had nothing to do with the NOS system as he explained it to me. The problem was elsewhere.

I was actually reading that thread backwards. That's 5 years of labour put in to that car !!! So sad !

the car burned down pretty good, from the pictures it looks like the nitrous gas helped with the combustion, as it looks like it burned down in a very short time if he sustained 2nd degree burns, I feel sorry for the guy and happy he made it alive out of it.

I seriously felt my stomach turn when i saw the final pictures on Page 45.
It's a miracle that he is alive to tell us about it. Really, really unfortunate

Amount of Nos bottle has nothing to do with it.
I even doubt nos was the reason of this.
Looks like a crash caused a rapture on the fuel lines.
Nos does not explode.And does not affect fuel in the way most people think! It affects the inlet air!

Its sad to see the guys hard work go up in smoke! At least he is ok!!!!
