need help (E.C.U)

was going to install a performance chip in my car and was wondering where the ECU was. first bmw so dont know much but any help would be appriciated

its a 92 325i coupe. would this damage the ECU plus do u guys know any one who has good chips for sale price wise i aint concerned as long as it gives me extra horses n all.

has anyone installed a a chip in a similar car and if so how long does it take, plus do i need any other mods before i install a chip. its just a performance chip not a stage 1 or 2 chip as some1 was telling me ( sorry dont know much abt bmws ) so any help would b highly appriciated

Call MarkD, he is a member on this forum. He can do wonders to your car, just by flashing your chip.

i ve done it a few times.
Ecu is on the firewall in the engine bay usually on the passenger sde if i recall correctly. Unscrew cover behind insulation which is behind fusebox. Once you get off the insulation, it's pretty straight forward although disconnecting the cable and reconnecting it can be quite fidly!

Fitting the chip is a piece of piss but i would get a decent mapped one. MarkD seems to have a good rep in here so i would say take it there.
