80's mercedes pickup truck conversion!?!?!?!?

yesterday after work i saw a 80's yellow benz. as the car passed i was like holy **** its a pick up conversion. i turned around and caught a glimpse of the rear. anyone seen this before i was on major mac near pine valley the car was going east on major mac i want to know more about the car!

I know the car you're talking about.. it belongs to a Doctor i think.. he has been touring the world with it.. had it custom made. I remember seeing a news segment about it.. if it's the one I am thinking of?! http://www.jimrogers.com/thrill/index.html

I think you are thinking about the custom offroad SLK, it was in our building at work, I highly doubt it was him, his car left last year & he lives in New York I believe, his name is Jim Rogers.

I saw a mercedes like that, but I would say it was more beige than yellow.

Probably the same car
