would've loved to but my car is legendary jokes when it comes to running reliably!
H/G just let go (tues), overheated with an air lock (no heat out of dash) & white smoke pouring out my tailpipe

i'd be mad, but turboready will be shoving in a Ringed m42, head with 3 angle valve job, with megasquirt
car is already there.

What kind of boost were you running? Did you have a wideband?

Just trying to figure out why you'd push a HG since I thought you were running about 8psi. It all comes down to cylinder pressure (too much spark advance) or EGT (lean fuel).

Megasquirt should fix that all up though!

He was on stock ign timing and at 10psi I had to start pulling timing so I'm going to guess he was spiking over 10

Yet stock timing at 10psi = bad. Rule of thumb is you'd need about 10 degrees of retard. It would need to be carefully tuned at that range.

What octane of fuel do you guys run? I always run 93 Stinson's (excellent) or Sunoco Ultra 94.

on the stock h/g's (been through 2 now) i was running upto 12lbs. spiking upto 17+ or so the max saved reading on the gauge said then afte 5K usage my 2nd factory h/g went, then D.bag in qc had my car 7months (I feel i was the victim of fraud). then striker was within 1K was fixing coolant & boost/vacume leaks, some loose interior seal inside my head (visible from oil filler opening) type work/slash non work.

also had to deal with stripped valve cover screws courtesy of mr D.bag.
its amazing i got this far
