Just trying to figure out why you'd push a HG since I thought you were running about 8psi. It all comes down to cylinder pressure (too much spark advance) or EGT (lean fuel).
Megasquirt should fix that all up though!

on the stock h/g's (been through 2 now) i was running upto 12lbs. spiking upto 17+ or so the max saved reading on the gauge said

then afte 5K usage my 2nd factory h/g went, then D.bag in qc had my car 7months (I feel i was the victim of fraud). then striker was within 1K was fixing coolant & boost/vacume leaks, some loose interior seal inside my head (visible from oil filler opening) type work/slash non work.
also had to deal with stripped valve cover screws courtesy of mr D.bag.
its amazing i got this far

and yeah when you machine down the top of a block beside the pistons & ring them with bronze or copper is that 'ringing' or 'sleaving' ?
