New e30 s52 project (pix pix pix!)

Soooo, had a build thread on e30tech...my old 84 318i was in an accident and didnt make it

but alas I moved on to bigger and better things...another 84 318i! Got it Friday, needs a few things but in much better shape than the last one .. here are some pix taken earlier today, I`ll throw up some of the swap-in-progress pix as well. feedback welcomed!

Swap so far:

Got a deal on an S52...Ive gotten the internals cleaned, have new rings + bearings (yet to install), no cracks, bore checked...cylinders honed..

Have laying around:

Harness, new metal waterpump, alternator (in shipping), ECU, correct oil pan, etc...

Next steps will be to assemble the block (or send it in...) and I want to get the head in there for some work as well

Have a tranny, some Getrag but I really want a ZF to run, hear theyre much stronger

Im also thinking of getting a rad + electric fan and running it before I swap

Its not too too bad, I've got the project ORCA cd from Zionville which is basically a walkthrough of the whole thing. Forums like this one are also great resources, but I've had that engine since last summer and have been looking into the swap since before then -- just go nice and slow
