I was inspired by your RX7 brake threads on r3v and unixnerd... bought a set of FC calipers off ebay to try and fit on my vert. Just a bit concerned they won't fit behind my wheels!

Thanks man. Yeah the fixed calipers are wide. If you need to run spacers, just more reason to go to studs!

Yeah, I'll have to see how it works out - I'm not sure if I'll do studs because my RD wheels look terrible without the center caps (imo) and it might be tough to get studs the right length for the caps to still fit.

Where did you end up with the offset on yours? My RDs are 15x7 ET26 so I figure I'll need at least a 5-8mm spacer, maybe more because the spokes aren't right out at the face of the wheel like on the Koseis.

There are 2 stud lengths that Vorshlag sells. If they're too long you can always chop-chop.

I believe the wheels are ET45, the spacers are 25mm and they just rubbed the letters. I added another 3mm spacer and they clear. So figure ET17.

Hmm... I may have to go even more than that depending on how the spoke profile works. Have to see how it looks when I get all the parts together.

As for the studs... I'll have to see. Not sure how much space there is underneath the caps... but I guess if there's enough to fit a bolt head then there's enough to fit a nut on a stud.

The nuts are the same shape as the bolt head. So you can chop your studs to be flush with the nuts, and it'll take up precisely as much space as the bolts.

Those are the best wheels for lapping/racing application

Not really feeling the decal placements though, especially the front fender.

I love the bumpers, they're staying. Before I had the iS lip, I was considering euro metals or even a plastic swap. But after I put on the lip, I think it looks so good it makes me all tingly inside. It looks sporty yet not pretentious - no one would expect what this car can do without knowing.
