How to find out how much a house sold for?

Does anyone know how to find out via public records how much a house sold for? I imagine a realtor can tell me the sale price, but if there's a way to find out through public records, this would be preferable. Thanks guys.

I don't think you can find out what it sold for unless you know someone involved in the deal.

You can search for the selling price on mls.ca if the house is still listed.

In the US, this info is a matter of public record and can be found rather easily (of course anything can be found out in the US.). I would have though there'd be a way to find this out via regional or municipal gov't, but haven't found it online. Anyone else have any ideas?

Ask a realtor as they have access to this. Especially if it sold recently.

Yeah any Realtor can get you this, they usually have a print out with the sale prices (usually last two).
