i hate when people criticize our armed forces.
first off we have 100,000 people that are enlisted in our armed foces... 100,000 for 30 million is almost the same ratio as the americans which is 2 million for 300 million people...
second of all although we may not have air superiority our cf18s are pretty damn good, and are very very up to date, perhaps even better then the american counter parts..
third, our navy although it only has small number of frigates and destroyers, they are the most hi tech in the world.
we also have a fair ammount of them cougars or whatever they are called, they are like apc but have like an 80 mm cannon and are pretty damn fast. the americans where using them in afganistan, because they the most versitile i think, i donno its specs..
obviously for a peace keeping nation a gigantic military is not needed.. especially when we have such a small population, i just hate it when people keep bashing our military..
and im sure that our canadian personel are smarter then the american counter parts.. brute force only gets u so far.
