Parts Source had them before but no more. Does it have to be the GT LMA? The temperature rating are just like the Prestone DOT4 that Canadian Tire sell.

Hi,

I would also recommend Gibson Vander Fine Auto. I've had work done by them on various cars over the years, expectations always surpassed. I had them quote some work on my E30 Touring - it seemed to be no big deal for them to get the parts.

(I've also had work done by Excellence, also very happy with that. I think one of the Excellence guys apprenticed with Gibson Vander)

The parts counter I went to was at BMW Toronto - the guy I happened to find there was quite helpful.

Yea exactly... $25 a bottle.. and its not even good stuff.

The Castrol LMA is a much nicer fluid and much cheaper.

I dont' like the prestone stuff I find it absorbs water fairly quickly and needs to be changed too often. :\

I like to experiment.

I use RBF in my track car but I think thats overkill for a DD/ light duty track car

arsevader I will try zellers.. I never even thought to look there lol. THANKS!

ROFL.....

The OEM stuff is adequate at best, there is much better fluid on the market for less money. $25 a bottle buys me high temp brake fluid with a dry boiling point over 600F, fantastic life and better resistance to moisture under its designed conditions.

The quality of the OEM stuff is more so closely related to a motorcraft or prestone. It works fine for day to day but I track my car on occasion and don't want to boil the fluid whilst paying over $25 a bottle for something worth $5 or less.
