whay to do w/ back plates for disc shoes

mine r rusted out ? any info?

how bad? you might be able to use short bolts with washers - if the hole for the pins has rusted oversize.
If your plates are nearly gone - call the dealer for new ones.

or use a drum kit hardware to hold the shoes in the backplate, it all depends how bad your back plate is

Get stainless ones made, and have them made so they come apart in 1/2. lol

oversized washers to hold the pins in place and if it's really bad; cut them off. get new from dealer and snip down one edge and rap around the hub and tack weld. or you can do the long route and remove the whole assembly including the bearing to install them properly. :-)

Do we have that here? most vague question of the year? do we give awards for that? (Grin)

Replace them.

You'll need to remove the hub, which means you need to replace the wheel bearings. Also it is a good time to change your parking brake cables. and all hardware.
