uniformed cops aren't logical...they DON'T care and one won't site the other to be wrong in the face of embarrassment. They are "tight" what's said or done on the green mile stays on the green mile. :-)

once I got pulled over by OPP for traveling 10km faster then him and sited me with a ticket that read: "disobeyed sign." yup. so I asked him what sign for what. He asked how fast I was going so I told him with the flow of traffic which was 120km which I admittedly told him.
If I were to have been going slower that could be considered obstruction of traffic. In the states if you go to slow you could get a violation. well anyway this was in Barrie country and didn't feel like going north to fight it so I just paid the fine. Rather vague yes! logical...ummmm no...had I fought it - would have been thrown out forsure. He couldn't and knew he couldn't get me for speeding because he had no way of proving it so decided to find some lame excuse just to ticket me because I had the balls to pass him when everyone else was oooooooooooo too scared cause mr. policeman might do somethin. well he did at my expense.. LOL.

Sigh...That's ridiculous. Make sure you fight it and not just get it thrown out but get some sort of compensation!!!

Jay, remember that true communism doesn't exist. Only corrupt communism that people have lived through. My dad calls everything bad communist lol.

What happened to dude in this thread sucks, but it has nothing to do with communism. I am literally jumping on you for it, and that's because North Americans are constantly, and increasing it seems using communism as a synonym for anything negative.
Communism is a synonim for anything negative.
Show me one successful communist nation in history - none.
I lived in a communist country and can tell you that negatives outweight positives. Back to the original post - the behaviour of the police is very similar to that of the communist system.

very little difference between both other than the ideology - technically fascism is a form of socialism.
same methods, same style of government etc.

The existence of a specific behaviour in a communist state doesn't make that behaviour a trait of the political system in general.

And if you really want to get technical, a popular criticism of communism is the lack of private ownership. They didn't take his car, they took his plates. Plates are government property.

Listen, I completely agree, the police do have too much power. And they have no idea what they're talking about. But I have yet to hear one person complain about having their plates pulled that DIDN'T have at least one illegal modification to the car. In this case all it seems to be is the headlights (the too low thing and the brakes are not laws at all), which sucks for him, but the law was broken.

All it will take to stop Ontario from its own stupidity is one person who stands their ground. It worked to bring down communism.

You know what they say.... stay away from any country whose flag has LOTS of RED in it!

If you think or know your car if safe for the road, ask the courts to show proof the car is unsafe. Get a safety done and walk in to the courts, if it's passed they should back down. The law system is nothing but big words that a lot of people don't understand. This is what the government uses against the public that aren’t aware of their rights. Did you know the S.I.U are hired lawyers by the government, and they always show up at an incident and they dictate what will be Publicized to protect the police.

I see where you are coming from but that's like saying the only difference between blue and yellow is the colour. The ideology is precisely what sets them apart.

Just because communism has not lived up to its ideals in practice doesn't mean that communism is like fascism.
