Increase horsepowder and torque
Improve throttle response and fuel efficiency
Maintain factory emmissions components

Power increase: 9-12hp
Torque increase: 8-12 lb/ft

Yes that doesn't make any sort of a difference when selecting an intake for an e46.

I was reading up about this on E46f awhile ago. Some have said you can get 240+ to the wheels if coupled with ebay headers and aftermarket exhaust on a 330. Make sure you get the cover to prevent hydrolock.
