Holy Shitballs! All I can say is I hope it goes to someone mature with the funds to keep it in that shape. It would be a shame to see that thing go downhill at this point considering how much work it must have taken to make it perfect again. So clean.

Very clean, but somehow i doubt anyone will spend that kind of $$$ on it! I think anyone with that kind of cash looking for an E28 will be checking out M5's...much safer investment IMO

I think if he was asking between 6k -8k that would be a pretty good deal.

I love Alpine e28s with Euro bumpers. Great looking car...
but:
• Metric Mechanic trannies are notoriously explosive.
• There is no chance that his M30 is making 250 hp. Well, there is a chance, but I really doubt anyone spent the $10k to do it. 10:1 +, super lumpy cam, ported heads, ported intake, headers, etc, etc...
I think $8k would be fairer.

my boss used to have one of these it was fast as all hell. I'm not to sure what ever becme of it but it was black and in damn near pristine condition. But what I do know is it was a fortune on a yearly basis to maintain it

More information on this car can be read here;
http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=54701
This car has A LOT of work done to it and it was done right.
IMO, the car is worth close to the asking price taking into account all the work that's been put into it. You'd have to spend at least twice the asking price to get it the same or close to these results.
This has to be one of the cleanest E28's I've ever seen.
BTW...Considering the engine work in this particular car, 250hp is certainly attainable.
You can PM "m-racer" on mye28.com for engine details as I believe he was the previous owner that had the rebuild done.
Keep in mind that there are TWO outstanding E28 examples in the market right now in and around Toronto and I'd say go for them because they don't come around very often in this condition.

I take it all back.... if M-Racer prepped that engine I bet it does make 250hp. He knows what to do and has the money to do it. The amazing brakes are a good example of his "do it right" attitude.

Hi Everyone, I'm glad you think my e28 looks good; it is also on ebay.ca starting at $10.5k. with a lot more detail. I registered here some time ago as trevor t and rarely posted, but had trouble with pw so have re registered as qcktvr. I am 61, and certainly ha ve enough $$ to take care of it, although it has actually been very reasonable to maintain. (I am an auto eng by training)
M-racer was the first owner after the resto and he had some interest in re-purchasing last fall. It looks as good and runs just as well as when I bought it 4 yrs ago, yet I have dropped the price 50%. The motor was built by Leo Goff, Memphis Motorworks, I believe ho knows these motors "quite well". There was 1 other owner for a short while between us, he claimed 270hp in his ads, maybe a bit optimistic, but I think 250 is on the conservative side.
I like M5s as well, but have never seen one this clean or fresh fo anything near this price, but I may be wrong.
If it does not sell for more than $10k I will be parking my R32 for the summer and using it again myself.
