It's in the car, it just stopped working!?!?! Does that makes sense? Does a clutch just stop working? I know the car turns over and runs and all.

You can see in the picture if you have a good eye. Look at rear driver's side rim. You can clearly see the top bolt is off a bit. I mean it is not pointing straight. The rust makes it harder to see it.

Okay, so maybe the nut is messed up a bit. How about the brakes never being changed? That's the one I was more intrigued about.

We live in Canada where brake job is a rip off. On that car you would have to do pads/rotors from what I see. Than the clutch and pay for the car. By the time it is on the road, you will be paying too much. You may as well avoId the headache and pay for something better. IMHO.

Right, because you can see the condition of the rear rotors and pads from those pics?

Trick question FYI.

You make it sound like transmission internals are made from paper-mâché.

Darn it's true. LOL

I understand where you are coming from, transmissions are very strong and durable. Having said that I knew this one person who was shifting without clutch. One day he shifted and missed. According to him there was a huge bang and then he found that he lost all drive.
