help....replacing slip ring..e36

looking to replace the slip ring in my car. i have a good idea as to how to do it but i dont want to mess anything up.


does anyone have a D.I.Y. guide to replacing the slip ring or something similar along those lines?

please let me know and help me out, lol....its getting annoying and i need this part to go in.

Are you sure it's the slip ring? Have you tried spraying the steering joint that's up closest to the firewall? That was the culprit in my car.

pretty sure its the slip ring...gonna spray the joints while i have the car in the shop...but srs light is now on and the squeek is goin on....im going to scan it this weekend, but word from charlie over at bimmersport was that the slip ring needed to be changed a while back...just havent had the chance to do it...but i have the slip ring here with me.
