CAA Membership

Hey guys, found this out on redflagdeals.com

Currently, you can get a basic CAA membership for $53 (not including GST). The normal enrollment fee of $12 is waived and you receive an additional $10 off for paying with your credit card and selecting the option for automatic credit card renewal. Discounts are applied at the checkout. Saving $22.

Just in case anyone was interested.

I got one cuz the membership covers the person, not the vehicle.
so when you are driving ur beater in the winter and it breaks down... they'll come help you, and if you get a flat tire in summer in ur pimped out bimmer, they'll come.

I got rid of my run-flat tires on my z4 cuz it rides too hard... that means i don't have a spare tire. I thought instead of carrying around a spare tire(extra weight) , save money from not buying a spare, and just get this membership and not worry about it.

that spare tire might work, but I have a feeling it'll burn you when you really need to be somewhere.. just my .02 - but thanks for the link!

Everyone should have CAA regardless of whether you have a spare or not

Thanks for the link. My parents were silly enough not to renew the membership and I was counting on it! The subs are too big to take out by myself, so I wouldn't be able to remove the spare if I got a flat so I just took it out alltogether...

Hmm was it not on a personal basis before? Do I really need an "associate membership" (second membership) so both my dad and me are covered under the same deal?

CAA is worth while for sure, but those bastards can screw you over royal when you need em. However they will come through for you most of the time.

Well, it's just the box is actually made to fit perfectly, you need to manipulate it through the trunk opening and it's really tight, can't really do it on your own. Anyone know the answer to personal CAA membership? Do they actually check if it's the person who's membership it is?

I've had them (the driver) ask for ID before... but usually not.
