Convertible top won't latch

Hi guys,

when i open my convertible top, it lowers find, but 1/2 inch from fully down, it won't latch into the compartment. It gives me a red flash noticing me that it's not fully down.

Any ideas?

did you post this in bimmerfest?

You might get an answer from that site there are more Z3 and Z4
owners sharing information.

My guess is that you have a mechanical issue.

Thanks..i figured it out.
It's a small hook on the latch that was mis-aligned.
