USA and Russian satellites collide in space

I heard it in the news today. I wondered how long it would take before this sort of thing would happen? Also who is at fault?

How can you assign fault for a live and dead satellite colliding? I know - no fault insurance.

Blame Iran! And then invade them because they must have nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction!

It was a deactivated russian satelite that hit an iridium sat. (sat communications network). It has not disrupted iridiums service (who cares if it did, it happened over siberia, and the sat is (was) geo stationary

^^Are you completly insane?

I would be INCREDIBLY surprised if Russia EVER paid ONE PENNY to iridium.

Also, like i said. This wasn't a military/government satellite. It (was) owned by a privately held american company for use in telecommunications. Why would Obama care? He's too busy fighting with the banks he just gave 800 BN $ to who still aren't lending any of it out.
