check engine light on

the check engine light just came on. any possiblities on what it could be? car seems to run the same. nothing different. also, will teh light come on if the oil is low?

same thing happened to me, i need to get the code scanned. check your gas cap make sure it's tight because that can cause the light to come on.

Could be a gazillion different things. Without getting the code read it would be impossible to say. Get the code cleared first and then wait for it to come on again then get it read.
