The PMG Technologies Test Center
The event will be held at PMG Technologies Test Center in Blainville, Quebec. It is less than a ½ hour drive from Montreal. For this event, we will be using the Upper Delta section of the facility. This is a very large and smooth asphalt surface where we will set up many different driving exercises, including: braking, quick lane change, obstacle avoidance, wet circular skid pad and wet figure-8 skid pad. All the exercises are supervised by qualified instructors. This event is suitable for all, regardless of the level of driving experience. The event will especially benefit novices and beginners, but will still offer challenges to advanced drivers.
"Super Early Bird” registration will be offered. The cost for BMWCC, BMWCCA, ACNA, FSAQ and CASC members is CAD $140 if entry and payment are received before February 15, 2009.
The Early Bird price will be CAD $150 from February 16, 2009 to March 2, 2009.
The regular price will be CAD $175 from March 3, 2009 to April 11, 2009.
After this date, the late registration rate shall apply at CAD $200 from April 12, 2009 to April 25, 2009.
Entries will be offered at the same price for members from PCA and other recognized car clubs, but on a one-event basis only (for subsequent events, he/she would have to sign up for either a BMWCC or BMWCCA membership). For those who wish to register for the event but are not members of BMWCC, BMWCCA or any other recognized car club, there will be an additional fee of CAD $40, which would be applied towards a one year membership with the BMW Club of Quebec.
Cancellations will be refunded up to 3 weeks prior (before April 12th) to the event less CAD $35 administration fee. Cancellations made up to 3 days prior (before April 29th) to the event will be refunded less 50%. All other cancellations made after April 29th will be considered as a no-show and will not be refunded.
Beverages will be provided to all participants. Due to lack of outdoor cooking facilities on-site, (and there is no food sold on-site), we encourage everyone to pack a lunch and snacks to bring with them to the event.
There will be no formal classroom sessions conducted at this event. Each driving exercise will be supervised by qualified instructors who will brief all the participants in detail, and in some cases provide in-car demos
As this is not a high speed event, a formal Pre-Event Safety Inspection Report will not be required. However, a self-tech inspection is highly recommended prior to the event. All cars will be inspected at the PMG entry gate and scrutinized for oil and fluid leaks. Any vehicle failing to pass this inspection will not be allowed entry to the facility and no refund would be given.
All participants must present a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age. All participants must wear helmets bearing one of the following certifications: Snell SA2000, SA2005, M2000, or M2005. The older Snell SA95 or M95 certifications are no longer accepted. Convertibles will be accepted for this event, but the driver must sign an additional waiver form. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the pit area unless accompanied by an adult.
It is strictly forbidden to consume any type of alcoholic beverage on track property during an event until the track is officially closed. This applies to everyone, participants and visitors. There is NO exception to this rule. All participants and visitors must respect this policy and understand the event organizer has the overall responsibility to run a safe and clean event and thus has the authority to expel anyone seen not complying with the safety policy.
