doesnt make sense.... why didnt he get into an old audi first.. then the new one. this only shows that an 09 car is better than all those 80s cars

Didn't even look like him at first, then it felt like they cut over to a scene from transportor.

I think that was the association they were trying to make... Audi is featured in Transporter's new installments, and he's probably got something in a contract somewhere. Cross marketing.
