Trouble hooking up Rockford amp to H/K amp in trunk
So i tried to set up my system today and ran into a problem.
I connected a transmitter into those speakers in the trunk that have the H/K (harman/kardon) cover. The one that sits at the top of the trunk, right in the center.
I ran the rca's to the amp and connected everything. Sub didn't work.
I then noticed no sound comes from those 2 speakers.
N e idea why those speakers aren't working..
while installing the transmitter no other wires got cut or disconnected.
the speakers were balanced
the H/K button inside the car is turned on.
i dont know if those speakers ever worked.
Is there a better way to hook up an amp and sub into the factory setup.

You should be getting your sound lead from the stock amp in the trunk, not off the speakers on the rear decklid.

Remove the carpet on the left side of your trunk, its basically on the left side where your gas cap is on the right side.
I foudn a wiring diagram online a long time ago, im sure its still up somewhere. You'll need a little adapter (forget the technical term for it) to convert the signal into something your amp can use.

I dont like how that diagram tells u to splice into the 6x9 input wires. It's better to splice into the amplifier's input signal from the deck, that's how i did it. I can't seem to find the diagram online though, sorry.
