I'm in ottawa, where there's tons of snow, and obviously before i went to pick up my wife, had to hit the touchless. Now my door locks are frozen, passenger door wont open, driver side door will only latch halfway.

I put a bunch of lithium grease on the driver side door, gonna go buy some lock de-icer.

My question is, how do i prevent this from happening in the first place? Or can i just not wash my car?
If you have a garage, go through touchless and then park in the garage. With the door closed, the temperature will reach high enough to melt the formed ice.

MTR-> i know what you mean, i put the e36 away. But my winter beater (e30 325iX) is rust free, and i'd like to keep it that way.

Europrince, no garage
Prince1 the only places around here that have underground parking are walmart and the grocery store. I guess i could go shopping.
