My mom was diagnosed with cancer, she went through 6 sessions of chemo and we just got her last (of 4) test result back last week and she's clear!

Also, finally after 5 years of driving I got a clean record last month so I was able to afford my own insurance at $120/mth down from $550/mth quoted earlier this year!

it was an ok year, hopefully no more bad news next year.

I was faithful for an entire year.

Basically, the best thing for me was finding someone deserving of that. Life is good.

Was accepted to UofT for Engineering after spending a year at the local adult learning center!!!

Its weird being in class with people 4-5 years your junior, but its worth it...

edit: 60Km trek to Machu Pichu was pretty cool too!

2008, lets see, Cali/Vegas with the guys, got my first brand new car(to bad it was only a Benz), also went to China/Hong Kong for a month, and I think the best thing that happened this year is that I never got a ticket of any sort this year, the last time I had such a clean record was 11yrs ago

This year was a good year I think....

Got my 2nd BMW (1st E30), met some new good friends, still with my girl for over 2 years now, watched some friends get married in Mexico, moved to a nicer place and got the hell out of Markham.... over all I'd say it's been a good year. A few bad things too, but there always are. Work is boring and unfulfilling, but I still have a job that I'm getting paid for.

Here's hoping 2009 will be a great one! (And that the world doesn't end, no bank runs or anything)

read an entire book for the first time in like 8 years. (a real book, like a novel sorta)
thats about it though.
2009 will be better with more accomplishments.
2008 was just about finishing things and getting things done.

LOL whats wrong with markham

oh yeah and probably the best thing about 2008 is realizing you got Family through thick and thin. Supporting you even when your dreams seem impossible... they make it possible.

A big thank you to the StreetConcepts Family.

2008 in summary...

1. bought a house and proceeded to gut it completely. I'm basically using the brick shell, and that's about it. This has been ongoing since June 1st, and is eating ALL my free time. In the end, I'll have lost almost a whole year to the project, but I'll have a completely custom pad. I love doing it, but will be glad when it's finally done.

2. blew the motor with a retard 4th to 3rd moneyshift at a ridiculous speed at 3am, 45 mins from home. Then, limping the bastard all the way to my driveway, sounding like a tractor the whole time. Saved the tow, and made it home before I lost my mind. Replaced with an S52, and have loved the car even more ever since.

3. Work has sucked balls, and new construction is in a lull. Although I still did alright, this was definitely not a record setting year as far as income goes.

All in all, not a bad year, but not a great one either. I'm just glad to be alive, have happy/healthy friends and family, and the car is still in one piece despite the abuse it's sustained. Things could always be worse, so I'm just thankful for the the blessings I've got.

1. Organized this years' AutoX series with Dave Cook

2. Got an M3 late this summer

3. After dating countless girls finally met a nice one.

...

Next year should be more interesting. If all goes well, I'll be moving again to a slightly bigger home and continue to enjoy driving and tinkering with the cars.

Well 2008 was a year of change for most I see and same on my side. I spent a good part of the year working the in the corporate world. Got the offer to join the Conti family and jumped on the occasion and do not regret it one bit.

and I have to laugh that everyone is putting there relationship status out there but the single life I have to say on my side is wayyyy better than the relationship one... I came to realize this early in 2008 and enjoyed every minute of it all year....

Hopping that 2009 is going to be a little better though but no complaints about 2008 from this one....
