I've Driven A4's in the winter, with snows. The SUV locked in 4x4 with good snows is better, hands down.
Accelerating in Deep snow, off the line, the little AWD Audi's and Subaru's can't match a 4x4 SUV.
Fil, AWD has nothing on a 4x4 which is locked in 4Hi. And just to be clear, 4Hi is for highway speeds.
Like I said, Audi's and Subaru's are good in the snow, but a 4x4 with snow tires is much much better.
