Laptop keyboard issue

This must be settings issue but I cannot figure out where to change it..

Instead of a question mark when I press that key I get this: , or

I get the same letter instead of forward slash or apostrophy

Any idea how to fix this (this is where questio mark should go, or in my case )

I am running Vista on that laptop

I had the same issue on saturday with mine and I tried everything to get it corrected. In the end I deleted the "Canadian Multi-Lingual" option in the Language settings and it fixed the issue. Just go to your control panel and you can chnage it in there.

If it's a new system you just configured, you likely selected Canadian keyboard instead of American....

just happened to me again...but I was wrong. It's the left shift key and ctrl at the same time, not fn and ctrl. Sorry bro.... this may be completely manufacturer dependant though...
