G Power M5 Hurricane hits 228.4 MPH
G-POWER is pushing relentlessly towards becoming a serious contender as a force of nature comparable to the sun. After recording a speed of 365.7 km/h (228.4 mph), the 750hp / 559kW G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RS is officially the "fastest sedan in the world, taking the record from the bi-turbo V12 BRABUS Rocket. That car is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS and does 362.4km/h.
G-POWER modified the M5 HURRICANE RS through enlarged capacity twin superchargers supplied by ASA. Boost level went from 0.7 bar to 0.8 bar. What's scarier is that G-POWER says they can raise this up to 1.0 bar for even more performance. "We can still improve," says CEO and engineer Christian Stöber, "if we see the need for it."

Yeah, I can see the Carbon Optik sponsor on the side of the car, who makes carbon wraps.
Carbon wrap is dumb imo. In pics it can look ok, but in real life with two eyes it looks nothing like carbon fiber. Real CF reflects differently at very subtle angle changes, making the reflection to each eye different, which gives it that "3D" appearance.
Stickers don't do that. :p
In any case, that car is pretty crazy. Glad to take the rep away from MB!

I don't know what you are talking about, I have real CF wrap right now & it looks exactly like that G-Power M5, it really depends on what they use on top of the CF, I work at Benz & we also offer CF interior, we have 2 types, 1 has a shiny high gloss finish & the other likes like the G-Power M5 finish, dull looking, they both look very different, one even looks almost fake, but they are real CF.

Well, then I guess I haven't seen this better quality stuff. Any CF wrap I've seen is simple a CF 'print'. Without the CF reflecting light at different angles, and without the epoxy over the CF, it never looks good.
If you use real CF for your wrap, then of course it should look good!

beast.
what happened to that M5 by Currency Motor Cars making 810hp from a remote twin turbo set-up. They claimed that it could hit 240mph. I guess that no one ever officially did a run in the car.

Not all carbon fibre reflects or has that 3D look to it, it all depends on the epoxy, and the way it's finished. The carbon handlebar on my bike is totally matte, it doesn't shine at all and doesn't have the 3D look. Actually the carbon spoiler on the MB SL63 IWC I saw at the Detroit show had the same look.
