Anyone else fail their attempt to reach Blue Mountain today?

I went up this morning the last weekend for $19 lift tickets.

Blowing snow made visibility zero on Highway 26 at some spots, you could barely see past the hood of your car. About 30kms out of Collingwood, cops shut the highway down and forced everyone onto a smaller side highway which was much worse, and had accumulated huge snowdrifts.

Made it about 3kms down the small highway where my car got stuck multiple times. The last time, I hit very deep snow and the car stopped dead. Luckily, some other motorists who were waiting by the side of the road for the visibility to improve came to help push. I turned around after that.

That sucks, I've had this happen to me a year or two ago and it was along Hwy 26 as well where the officer blocked the roadway. I ended up going to Moonstone that day

was supposed to go but say -17c and 60kmh winds and everyone i was going with said screw it.
