They did that alot last year. The worst for this is that Kevin Frankish on BT - he makes it sound like WWIII is going to start. The weather guys they do so so that the public is prepared for the worst rather than if nothing happened. Doesn't make sense to me either.

that wasn't much of a storm, the snow was wet and heavy.. pretty easy to drive on. freezing rain makes me cringe, everything else is fine but still annoying.
