OBC Message

So my on board computer screen is all messed up and half of the pixels are dead. Sometimes when I turn my car on and it's really cold out it beeps and I get a message I can't really make out. Really the only thing I can make out is: ______ TEMP. _______

So clearly it is something about the temp somewhere, but the car runs fine and doesn't take that long to warm up. Anyone have any idea what it may actually be? I don't know what the word or words before and after temp may be. I plan on buying a new OBC sometime, but once the money is there.

Thanks

Yup it will always beep when it's under 3 degrees C and show you on the OBC.

Supposed to be a warning to drive carefully

Oh, ok. Good to know. Now I don't have to worry so much that it was something about the engine temp or something bad like that.

Were you around the Pen Centre in St. Catharines at around 12:30 today doogee? I saw a BMW at an intersection near the Pen today and just realized from your sig that it looks alot like your car.

3 degrees celsius is when the road surface may begin to freeze. Even though O is technically the freezing point, wind and other variable conditions may still promote the formation of ice at temperatures slightly warmer than 0. Be like me and just don't screw around in questionable conditions. Unless you're in an empty parking lot with fresh powder ; )
