Headlight adjusters...

Damn raccoon broke the headlight adjusters on one side. It's a post 2001 car. Anyone in the GTA that can repair it? If not, what's the best bet for a replacement? I have the LED halo bulb upgrades and it would be great if they can be preserved with aftermarkets...

I picked up a set of aluminum adjusters and did a DIY fix at home. You have to bake the headlight in the oven to open it up...it sounds a bit scary but wasn't too hard to do. I ordered a set of adjusters from a guy from bimmerfest. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...ight=adjusters

How did the raccoon manage to break the adjuster???

Pretty bad smash. Cracked the driver side bumper. Amazingly the carbon fiber lip held the bumper together, otherwise it would be dangling. I'm guessing the impact finally made it give. It's at an acceptable level now... SLIGHTLY low, but tolerable.

you have to take your headlight appart to change them. Time to upgrade to euro clears or if you're going to repair them, remove the amber reflector at the same time.

Umnitza was the cheapest place i could find. Mind you exchange rates suck now

1. How's the quality on scale of 1-10 (best)?
2. Did you install it yourself , difficult?
3. Halos are bulbs, LEDs, or CCFLs?
4. Did you have to purchase a separate HID kit?
--- What bulb is the low beam?
--- What bulb is the high beam?
--- What bulb are the signals?

1. Quality is excellent, they are OEM Hella.
2. Installed myself, looks hard at first, but is actually pretty easy
3. Halos are OEM bulbs
4. Used my existing OEM Hid's. Low beams are D2S. High beams are H7, signals are your regular single filament signal bulb. Forgot what its called now. Same bulbs as your OEM headlights.

where can you get the aluminum adjusters at? I don't want to do all that work and put on plastic ones.

qube, if you end up buying a new set what are you going to do with the old pair? im looking for a headlight set but broken and not usable> i just need the projector for some other project. let me know.
